Critics Question Communication Skills of AI ‘Czar’ Kamala Harris

US Vice President Kamala Harris has recently faced accusations of struggling to effectively articulate her thoughts, particularly in relation to explaining artificial intelligence (AI). During a roundtable discussion with labor and civil rights leaders in Washington D.C., Harris attempted to clarify the concept of AI but reportedly stumbled with her explanation.

Describing AI as a “fancy thing,” Harris stated, “First of all, it’s two letters. It means artificial intelligence, but ultimately what it is, is it’s about machine learning.” However, her explanation was criticized for being convoluted and lacking clarity.

Kaylee McGhee White, a commentator from the Washington Examiner, remarked on Fox News’ ‘Hannity’ that it was somewhat fitting for Harris to be designated as the “AI Czar.” White sarcastically commented, “I think it’s kind of fitting that she was chosen to be the AI czar because if anybody needs a little bit more help, it’s clearly Kamala. She can’t put a sentence together to save her life.”

The remarks from White and other critics point to a perception that Harris struggles with effective communication and expressing her thoughts coherently. The appointment of Harris as the “AI Czar” is seen by some as incongruous given her perceived difficulty in articulating complex concepts like artificial intelligence.

It is important to note that public figures often face scrutiny and criticism for their statements and communication skills, and opinions on such matters can vary widely depending on individual perspectives and political leanings.
