Instagram could soon have its own AI chatbot Instagram’s new tool reportedly lets users access an AI chatbot in their private conversations.

 

Instagram is making use of AI by developing a chatbot so that its users can converse with an AI-powered personality in any private chat.

This is a big progression for the platform, as many have been focusing on sending direct messages rather than creating content on its newsfeed.

The chatbot will have up to 30 different personalities to choose from, and can help users by shedding light on their questions and giving advice.

The developer, Alessandro Paluzzi, has mentioned that the feature is being tested by a few people chosen by Instagram itself.

This AI integration isn’t the first for the platform, as AI-generated stickers have already been available. Snapchat and LinkedIn have also been releasing their own AI-based features.

 

“Instagram is in the process of developing AI Agents (Bots) for conversations to give users a more enjoyable and stimulating time.

These AI Agents will be able to respond to questions and give advice, and you can pick from 30 distinct personalities.”
